Focuses on coastal and ocean acidification in the waters from Long Island Sound to the Scotian Shelf, including the coastal wasters of New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.

Scope of activities

The Northeast team is aligned with the Northeast Coastal Acidification Network (NECAN). NECAN’s priorities include identifying critical vulnerabilities to coastal and ocean acidification and effects on economically significant marine resources.
